Waterloo Wellington (LHIN 3)
In LHIN 3, the SHRTN Local Implementation Team is provided by the Waterloo Wellington Geriatric Service Network (WWGSN). The WWGSN was founded in 2007 to provide leadership for relationship building, setting common goals, and facilitating action-oriented strategies, monitoring progress.
Mandate, Scope, and Jurisdiction
Within the Waterloo Wellington LHIN, the WWGSN will:
- Establish and monitor a system-wide plan for geriatric services in Waterloo Wellington.
- Develop a sustainability plan for the Network.
- Ensure that priorities identified by network members and other stakeholders align with the vision and mandate of the Network.
- Link with networks within the LHIN and relevant partners.
- Coordinate meetings of the broader Geriatric Services Network at least annually.
- Encourage broad participation from the local level in SHRTN initiatives and events.
- Provide evidence-based information from SHRTN to paid/unpaid caregivers.
- Provide advice to SHRTN Board of Directors.
Meetings
The WWGSN Executive Committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month.

Membership
The Executive Committee membership is designed to include a system-wide perspective and reflect the Network’s mandate and needs. It is recommended that members be selected to represent the following perspectives/organizations and to include representation from the Waterloo Region and Wellington County:

- SGS and CCC/Rehab (2)
