Support for Personal Support Workers

About

The Support for Personal Support Workers (PSW) Community of Practice (CoP) is uniquely positioned to break the isolation of PSWs in home care and long term care for the benefit of the seniors they serve.

The CoP reaches across institutional divides of a competitive and geographically dispersed home care system to speak directly to PSWs and provides access to learning events, tools, and communication.

This connection will help PSWs attain recognition and respect for their unique contribution to client health. It also serves to increase job satisfaction, confidence, and engagement. This would help to retain PSWs in the sector and attract workers to the field.

  • Information to seek,
  • Observations to make.
  • Questions to ask and have answered.
