About

Fall injuries are a major factor in mortality and morbidity amongst Ontario’s seniors and a major cost to the health care system. The Falls Prevention CoP aims to address this important issue by:

• providing falls prevention across the lifespan according to new standards
• working to increase injury prevention surveillance, research application and knowledge exchange
• striving to reduce wait times and burden on the healthcare system

They meet these goals by enabling researchers, practitioners and policy
makers to:

• align their efforts
• share their expertise
• reduce duplication
• leverage more resources, more efficiently and effectively.
