Early Researcher Initiative

Coalition partners each have a total of $20,000 per year to offer one or more Early Researcher Awards. These awards provide salary support for Early Researchers or can be used to offset the cost of conducting research. Each Early Researcher award recipient is expected to present their research at the Coalition’s Annual Research Symposium in the spring. Early Researcher candidates must:

  • Be enrolled in a masters or doctoral program, or be a clinical or postdoctoral fellow.
  • Be affiliated with at least one of the seven coalition partners.
  • Be a relative newcomer to the field of research on aging.
  • Commit to engaging in an inter-institution/centre process that will bring them into contact with an investigator(s) with at least one other Coalition Institute /Centre.
