Event summary
This day has been planned to involve more people in our strategic conversations that will lead to a strategic plan for the SHRTN Collaborative. We encourage all of our members to participate as well as anyone who wants to influence our direction in the future. The Strategic plan we work on at this event will be used to develop our next funding application and will inform our Governance model, decision making, budgets, operational plans and staffing model going forward into the new fiscal year. Our last strategic conversation was held on July 7th in Toronto. Please visit to review the documentation from that event.
On November 22nd we will:
• Reveal new name, vision, mission, values
• Engage people in conversations about the components of the strategic plan
• Gather ideas about initiatives/activities Collaborative could take on under each of the strategic directions
• Gather input into the Network’s success measures

Event summary
This year the SHRTN Collaborative has teamed up with the organizing partners of the Applied Research Education Day for our Annual Assembly Learning Day. Last year over 350 people participated in the highly successful event. This year, through the partnership with SHRTN Collaborative, the event focus has expanded beyond long-term care to also include sessions focused on home and community care.
The Team has pulled together an action packed agenda for the day that includes two keynote presentations, a Research Marketplace, Mini-sessions, and Concurrent sessions.
